Starting out in a rented chair at the age of 19, Bethany Jade Savage has worked hard to build up her beauty business. “I began my career with very little products or experience but with passion and hard work, I built up a client base,” explains Bethany. “After two and a half years, I opened Buffed Beauty Bar in Cavendish Court in Keighley.”
In her salon set-up, Bethany now see her clients in the pretty pink décor. “I offer beautiful, bespoke nails, in a warm, welcoming and clean environment,” explains Bethany. “I am the sole owner of Buffed Beauty Bar.
“One of my close friends Lucy Halliday works alongside me on a self-employed basis. When I opened my business, I wanted to work alongside talented, friendly and driven people. Right now, it’s just me and Lucy but I would like to expand one day, in the future. I’m also a brand ambassador for Nails by Annabel.”
“I offer nail enhancements using coloured acrylics, as CND Shellac™ and gel polish services. I also offer luxury manicures and pedicures, as well as waxing, lash treatments, facials and full body tanning. The products I use are mostly from Nails by Annabel.
“I specialise in bespoke nail using coloured acrylics, glitters, gels and Swarovski crystals. I’ve always been artistic; I love arts, crafts and painting. I learnt to paint from my father who is very talented. I also have a You Tube channel where I showcase my nail designs with tutorials.
The salon see a sophisticated décor in pink, light grey and white tones. “I wanted a clean simple look that was a little girlie but not over the top,” explains Bethany. “I would say it has a modern, classical look.
“The simplicity of the salon allows me to be able to concentrate on the task at hand without be overwhelmed by what could have been a busy and cluttered environment. Plus, it’s is a relaxing environment for my clients.”
