Salon in the Spotlight: BeeBee Beauty Salon, Oakham

Stepping inside Mali Palmer’s salon, BeeBee Beauty Salon, is a warm and welcoming experience. “The salon is very cosy,” smiles Mali. “It is designed to make you feel like you are at home enjoying the comforts of home but with the added bonus of having wonderful treatments.

“The treatments we offer are constantly evolving and improving; they’re becoming eco-friendlier. The whole idea is that the salon offers an experience rather than a line of clients being processed one after another.”

Offering a varied service menu, the salon sees a focus on the client’s treatments and transformations. “My real passion is electrical facials,” Mali explains. “I love the difference you can make to how a person looks and feels about themselves. I am continuously researching non-invasive treatments and constantly working on improving the experience. I currently use Eve Taylor, Ashmira Botanica, Footlogix, OPI and Halo within the salon.”

“The theme of the salon has evolved,” Mail explains. “I always wanted a 1950s feel to the space as it is an era I adore. Audrey Hepburn features throughout the salon as I believe she personifies beauty and grace – and she has awesome skin!

“Nostalgia plays a large part in my client demographic; clients love the Audrey influence. It leads to great many conversations around skincare, purely because of how flawless she looks!

“Clients love the cosy feel of the salon and the fact that it is very private. They trust me with things that they have not really talked about with others. I feel very privileged to be able to provide a safe haven as well as a treatment.

“I am also constantly looking to ensure we deliver more and more eco-alternatives, such as cuticle oil refills and using packing chips as toe ropes for pedi’s. We use a milkman instead of buying cartons and use washable cotton pads. I think this care really adds to the whole experience.”
