Becki's Beauty

“I first started my business, Becki’s Beauty back in 2012,” reveals Becki Hobbs. “My parents had an unused log cabin in their garden, so this allowed me to kickstart my beauty business from there. I lived in a tiny flat so was unable to work from my own home.

“Last summer, I finally moved to a property big enough to run my business from. I was extremely lucky that it was only two miles up the road and all of my clients happily followed me.”

From this homely set-up, Becki offers a number of services. “I specialise in gel polish services and absolutely adore doing nail art!” smiles Becki. “However, I do offer most beauty treatments such as waxing, tinting and eyelash extensions. Unfortunately, not long after training at college I developed contact dermatitis therefore I was unable to carry on with massages and facials due to the essential oils, I think this is what pushed me to become more of a nail tech.

“I’ve used numerous different brands over the years, but my absolute favourite is now The Gel Bottle Inc. I completed the full Gel Bottle course last summer and I just love the products. Builder In A Bottle is a complete game changer both in the industry and for my business!

“I love to have a relaxed but friendly feel to my salon. I like to think my clients get the professionalism of a high street salon but in the comfort of my home. I also have a little salon mascot called Stanley, who is a miniature dachshund and my clients absolutely adore him.

“My room is nice and simple, with lots of grey and white furniture. I like my salon to feel just as professional as any other salon. There is also lots of rose gold bits and pieces too – because who can resist rose gold!

“My salon makes me feel confident and comfortable and therefore I hope my clients feel the same way, too.”
