Am Sanctuary, Rothwell Lead

Tucked away in a historic corner of town, Amy Measey’s salon, AM Sanctuary, sees a tranquil spot for appointments.

Featuring original stone brick walls, fireplaces and exposed beams, Amy wanted to draw on the whimsical vibe of the building with her decorative touches. “My salon packs a punch with character; the stone walls ooze with tales from the past,” smiles Amy. “I have also added uniqueness by having a working swing suspended from the exposed beams, It’s made from Australian walnut and draped in lavender garlands.

“I love the idea of bringing the outdoor in, so I have artificial wisteria draped in most corners, as well as roses and lavender. I also have a 6ft tall blossom tree as a feature in my waiting area.

“Woodwork around the salon is painted sage green and the walls are a soft shade of pink, accentuated by gold accessories and my range of Glitterbels products.”
