Here Naomi Taylor shares her love of the fibreglass system – and why you should consider adding it to your kit…
Where do I start? I believe fibreglass has well and truly earned its place in the nail world; it is such an important skill for the nail professional. Sadly, people tend to follow trends or pick what is easily on offer, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the right product for a client’s nail.
Over the past 23 years of my career, I have seen some bad nail breaks and damage to the natural nail. I believe this is mainly caused by improper use of files and incorrectly placed apex’s on other systems.
All the best things are the original! Fibreglass is so versatile. It’s an easy system to use and is easy to file by hand. Fewer products needed for the service, and it also sees low odour. It sees a quick removal time – and it can create natural looking nails for your clients.
The system has great strength and flexibility. It can be used for repairs, overlays and extensions, both long and short.
The comments my clients receive on a regular basis are incredible; they’re asked what has been used and when they’re told its fibreglass, they want it too!
