Scratch chats to Kelsey March of KelseyMarchNails about finding inspiration for nail designs and the progress she has made since starting in the industry…
It’s the endless possibilities and creativity that has me hooked on nails, I love that there’s always something new to do.
I would say my signature style is French tip designs. My clients love French tips – different colour tips, groovy designs on top of French tips, marble tips, glitter tips… And the list goes on.
I get all my nail inspo from Instagram, other nail techs, TikTok and sometimes straight from my brain. Some of my favourite techs are Joely Ocean Nails, Elize Star, Mya Ailani and Chaun Legend.
Sometimes I get creative waves where ideas pop into my head and I have to write them down so I don’t forget, but when I have a creative block, I always look on the above nail techs pages for inspiration.
If I had to choose one colour to characterise my personality, it would be Bluefin by The GelBottle, which is a fun bright blue colour.
It’s so vibrant and eye-catching, and the design possibilities are endless with it. I feel like it gives off good vibes, and that’s what I’m all about.
The one piece of advice that changed my career was to never give up. When I look back to when I first started my nail journey in 2019, I honestly feel so proud – the improvement in my work is mind-blowing.

The highlights of my career so far are doing this right now for Scratch, seeing how far I’ve come from when I first started, and how huge and loyal my client base is.
My goal for the future is to open a training academy to teach other people to become an amazing nail technician. I can’t wait to see what 2022 brings.
