Nail designer joins ivorygoat wedding planner in Costa Blanca, Spain with a fresh approach to love & all the trimmings

As things slowly but surely begin to pick up again for wedding industry professionals, a newly launched wedding planning company in Marina Alta, Costa Blanca, Spain is providing couples with all the traditional services, and a little something extra in a landscape that will take their very breath away.
Alex Fox talks to one of the brains behind this exciting new wedding venture and steals a quick chat with its make-up and nails team too.
Wedding planner in Costa Blanca, ivorygoat, with tagline – All You Need is Love – is a team of international award-winning creatives from the TV, film and events industries whose focus has turned to helping couples create their dream wedding in the Costa Blanca. From hair, beauty and stationery to flowers, décor and menus, the team has it all covered including the creation of a wedding website and social media storytelling feature. “Every element is focused on in order to relay the couple’s love story and make them the star of their show,” enthuses Hayleigh Goodman-Smith, MD ivorygoat.
As well as offering the typical services you might need when planning your big day, for ivorygoat, it’s also about authenticity and style – and that includes those finer details.
Cue Hannah Falconer, hair and make-up designer, who works in-line with the couple’s brand vision to elevate the entire look. Hannah has worked in weddings and TV for more than 20 years, keeping up with trends and making sure they work for ivorygoat’s modern brides.
“Each detail vital, and where nails are a huge part of the bride’s overall look, we want to be able to offer something elegant, exciting and bang on trend,” explains Hayleigh Goodman-Smith.
Ivorygoat’s fascination with detail – and in particular with nails – got real when the team sourced a top nail designer to work with. The talented Sharon Byrne from Radiance Nails joined the team as a friend and collaborator. Working in nails for 24 years, Sharon has developed her own range of glitters, designed nails for London Fashion Week, and has her own salon and teaching academy in Spain. “Her pedigree speaks for itself and watching her weave her magic is astonishing,” notes Hayleigh.
In a nod to the team’s background in TV and film, ivorygoat’s services also include a Love Story Film – a highly polished cinematic narrative that includes the story of how the couple met and what makes their love unique, as well as Live Streaming of the wedding complete with red-carpet arrivals as part of a totally unique and elevated social media service.
“What makes us different, is not only our eight unique elevated services, but also how we approach weddings,” says Hayleigh. “For us, it’s about our couples’ love story, this is our central point, they can want to shout it from the rooftop (we can do this via our Love Story film, live streaming, social media) or by creating a dream backdrop with elegance and the ‘wow’ factor (branding, art direction, appearance design), all while keeping everything beautifully planned at their fingertips and where they are totally in control (production planning, destination management). We use our film and TV skills to create a beautiful backdrop with an eye on detail for every frame of any content created for our couples, the wedding is their film set and they are the stars.
“We start by working with our couples to create a unique brand for their wedding, which includes logo, colour palette, typography, themes, mood boards, photography and their film. It’s the base for all choices keeping everything beautiful and streamlined, implementing it across everything from the website, invitations, flowers, hair and makeup, nails, furniture, installations, wedding cake, food and the menus; anything visual is then overseen by the ivorygoat creative director, Sofia Ghysels.
“We aim to work with our couples remotely, as we expect most of our bookings to be destination weddings, with the couples flying to Spain for a period of time across their wedding bridging around a week to 10 days. We will consult with them constantly, while building their wedding portal for all planning and communications with them and their guests,” affirms Hayleigh.
“We will walk them through every choice via video, live links and photographs. Most will come for a week or so to solidify their choices and we will support, book and plan their choices with them.
“We will build their dream wedding remotely and are working on adding services where they can add their special personal touches to the wedding on their arrival too. We are also working with a designer who will offer workshops for the bridal party to create table centres, bridesmaid’s corsage, etc. It’s very exciting.”

Hannah Falconer – hair & make-up designer
“I trained at Greasepaint in Ealing, London, a specialist media make-up college back in 1996,” enthuses Hannah. “It was a great place to train and gave me the opportunity to meet many amazing designers and start working in the industry from the get-go.
“I’m in love with loads of make-up brands; everything from Pat McGrath (the absolute queen of beautiful make-up) to Charlotte Tilbury for gorgeous wedding basics – and I’m always looking for the next new thing on the market, so I guess I’m a make-up addict.
“During lockdown I spent a lot of time considering the direction I wanted to focus on and knew I wanted to spend quality time with my daughters, while also having the scope to concentrate on work projects. I worked for years on TV sets and so I still like to take up the odd TV day to keep my hand in, but I also want to make people feel good about themselves, as part of my whole offering.
“I joined ivorygoat because I love the whole concept. As a TV and film make-up artist I can put to good use the skills I’ve learned over the years to provide the best look, for the most important day of a couples’ life. Having your wedding managed as if it were a feature film really excites me, as this is exactly how it should be done. Every element managed by the correct people and overseen in minute detail.
“I’m inspired to bring out the true beauty of my brides – not blank canvas them and create a different them – but to bring out and enhance what is already there. So they walk down the aisle looking their absolute best.
“I’m an HD Brows brow pro and also offer LVL lashes and lash extensions to complement my make-up skills, so my brides can trust that I’ve got the whole look totally managed.”

Sharon Byrne – Nail designer
“I trained at Blackburn College and with CND Manchester and have done many other nail courses during my 23 years as a nail professional,” explains Sharon. “I’m an educator for Preston/Lancashire region, I use the Gel Bottle brand as well as my own brand, Radiance Glitters, which I offer workshops in. I get my nail inspiration from fashion, the latest trends as well as from my clients and I follow the work of influencer and nail artist, Kirsty Meakin.
“During lockdown it became clear to me to maintain a good work and family balance, as before Covid19, I would work three weeks straight without a day off.
“In my spare time I like to go circuit training, walking and stand up paddle boarding, as well as spending time with family and friends.
“I joined ivorygoat as I feel their unique approach to weddings and ‘love’ offers so much more than just an ordinary planning service. They are a completely rounded and dedicated team that can create exactly what the bride and groom want. Making it the most magical day for all, and I wanted to be part of this journey while also making people happy.”
