Do you think your nail business (mobile or salon) could be looked at in a different way? Beauty business expert, Liz McKeon, serves up her six steps to raise your profile and attract those new and important clients:
- Think about your strategy. What exactly do you want to achieve from raising your nail business profile? For example, are you looking to increase business or do you want improved brand awareness?
- All successful businesses have a defined unique selling point (USP). It’s what separates you from the competition and lets your customers know what you do. This should be clear, concise and easy to communicate.
- Stand out from the crowd. You need to be sure that people can find you and see how good you are.
- Become and authority. Wherever possible, make sure that people are aware of your knowledge. You can do this via your business blog, offering hints, tips and opinions on industry developments.
- Find brand ambassadors. Contact bloggers or journalists who cover the nail industry and give them complimentary services in exchange for a review. When your potential customers hear that they like your nails, this becomes a trusted recommendation and your business name will grow as the ‘go to’ business.
- Always be professional. Always look for ways to go above and beyond. Be more available to customers and always conduct yourself in a proper and ethical manner. You will attract more business than previously if your image is professional and one that customers can rely on.
