#ManiMonday: Sparkling silver stilettos by Kristina Thompson

Scratch puts the spotlight on a silvery nail design of varying textures and the talented tech behind it…
Nail tech Kristina Thompson, owner of The White Rooms salon in Bedfordshire, has worked in the beauty industry for 30 years and currently teaches students using CJP Nail Systems.
“I found these metal sheets on Veronique’s Shop on her Instagram page and thought they would work well with some glitter, chrome and Swarovski crystals in the same grey shade,” she says. “First of all, I used CJP Peach Sorbet to apply acrylic to create the base. Then on the ring finger, I adhered the metal sheet to the wet acrylic, which is then encapsulated with CJP’s Crystal Glass Acrylic Powder.
“I applied a non-wipe top coat on all the nails and rubbed in Glitter Arty Nails’ Sterling Silver glitter on the index finger to create the chrome effect. For the smallest finger, I used a tacky top coat to burnish the Grace glitter from Magpie Beauty. On the other fingers, I applied chrome crystals and Swarovski Crystal Pixie Scatter Crystals with gripper glue. I was so happy with how these turned out and had a satisfied client.”
