MANI MONDAY: Yellow lines

Begin the week the right way with some nail inspiration this mani Monday!
The team at Paintbox nail studio, located in the heart of SoHo, Manhattan, tended to the nails of executive assistant at Glossier, Priscilla Quaye, and we love the minimalism of the chic and on-trend manicure.
Following a natural nail manicure finished with a clear coat, Priscilla opted for a yellow hue in which to have the design painted. Such geometric line-work over natural nails makes for an edgy everyday look that can be dressed up or down.
When talking about what inspired her manicure, Priscilla told Paintbox, “I really loved the angularity of this design. I do my nails myself every week, and it’s typically just a basic colour, no designs. So when I do get them done and get a design, I like my nails to be sharp (not literally!) and clean.
“Yellow is 100% my favourite colour. I like the warmth and brightness it exudes. Also, this design originally called for a base colour underneath, but I liked the idea of going with negative space instead, and having it just be a clear coat with my natural nail colour underneath.”
