Begin the week the right way with some nail inspiration this mani Monday!
This years World Cup has well and truly kicked off and tonight sees the England team play its first game of the tournament against Tunisia.
Techs and clients up and down the country are catching the World Cup fever and embracing it with patriotic nail designs. Talented tech, Dana Squibb, bestowed a nationalistic manicure on one of her clients, featuring the colours of red and white on alternative French tips and ring finger nails seeing a hand painted England flag.
“My client has the most amazing natural nails – painting them is so easy! She wanted some World Cup nails but nothing over the top. We decided to just go with the England flag but with a mixture of French design and block colour.
“I used CND Wildfire, which is my favourite shade of red, CND Beau, which is a lovely sheer colour with a hint of pink for the base of the French and The Gel Bottle Inc. in Daisy for the white.
“For the French nails I did a base coat and then one layer of Beau. I then popped a layer of Wildfire on the tip of the nail: it didn’t need to be neat, as I then went in with an angled brush (slightly dampened with some Dsperse) and swooped the French line before curing. There is a video for this on my YouTube channel!
“For the flag, I applied two coats of The Gel Bottle Inc. in Daisy and then used a striping brush and Wildfire to paint the red cross before using a top coat.
“Finally, for the block colour nails, I simply used a base coat, two layers of Wildfire and finished with a top coat.”
