Begin the week the right way with some nail inspiration this mani Monday!
We couldn’t resist this oh-so sweet design created by Emma Clark, of Emma Louise Nails, Makeup & Beauty, for her client seeking a nail look to match the pattern of her daughter’s dummy.
The cutesy design sees a baby pink base with swans, polka dots and glitter across the nails.
Emma says, “My client had texted me in the week saying she had found a design for her nails, which surprised me as she usually can’t decide what she wants for each appointment. When she arrived for her appointment she was so excited and pulled out her daughter’s dummy from her bag, saying, ‘this is the design I want on my nails!’ Well, I burst out laughing and so did she! She said that she kept staring at it in her daughter’s mouth and loved it so much, and she knew I would be able to come up with a design for her nails using it as inspiration. I was quite jealous actually, as when my kids were babies, dummy’s were always quite boring!
“I asked her what she liked about the dummy in particular, for example, the colour, pattern, etc. and discussed what we were going to do on the nails. I used a custom blender of Izabelle Hammon iZ Pro Gel using a few colours mixed together on my palette – I love mixing colours, as it’s always a bespoke colour that no one else has, and that’s what my clients love.
“For the swan I used my tiny Hazel Dixon brush and Crystal Nails Black and White Royal Gel as it’s so good for doing tiny detail and not moving before curing. For the rose gold sparkle, I used Akzentz Pink Champagne Gel Play. On the index finger, we did a mismatch of the pattern to incorporate every element of the design but to still have consistency.
“I love to be challenged and I’m very happy with the results… It will be interesting to see what everyone will say at her next mother and baby group!”
