Lip plumping with Lip NV

This morning, the Scratch HQ was visited by Essex-based Lip NV educator, Laura White, to perform the No Needle Filler treatment on Scratch assistant ed, Kat.

Before arriving at the Scratch office, Laura had sent Kat a thorough consultation form to fill out to ensure there were no contraindications that could prevent the treatment from being carried out. The form also allowed Kat to illustrate the look she was hoping to achieve on her lips.

Laura arrived armed with a portable treatment couch and her Lip NV Air Pen along with the other equipment required to carry out the treatment. Professional yet friendly, Laura was efficient in setting up yet took time to talk Kat through the treatment and answer any questions that she had.

Scratch broadcasted a Facebook and Instagram live of the Lip NV No Needle Filler treatment while I asked any questions I had about the no needle lip filler service and Scratch ed, Helena, asked any questions posted by readers on the live streams.

The Lip NV Air Pen uses high speed air and pressure to deliver hyaluronic acid filler into the area being worked on. As well as lip plumping, the Lip NV Air Pen can be used to administer facial fillers for smoothing lines. After around 30 minutes of plumping – and the Scratch team asking lots of questions – Kat’s new lip look was ready. The final result saw a naturally plumped, defined and contoured lip look that simply enhances Kat’s lips. There is immediate swelling once the treatment is complete, however this will go down within a matter of days. Aftercare advice included avoiding extremely hot or cold drinks for 12 hours, use plenty of lip balm (not containing petroleum), avoid steam or contact with extremely cold temperatures and to try not to fiddle with the lips. Training for the Lip NV No Needle Filler service is available via The Creative Beauty Group, with educators providing the one-day beginners course nationwide. No qualifications are required for the course, as the intense day supplies the student with theory and practical knowledge to safely provide the treatment to clients.

After completing the Lip NV training course, the student will be asked to complete five case studies within a six week timeframe (one of which can be taken from the class during practice assessment). Once the case studies have been received and work has passed satisfactory level, the student will be sent their qualification.
