Hone your Artistic Colour Gloss technique as Scratch probes Carrie-Leigh Allen, educator for Louella Belle, about the ideal application technique for Artistic Colour Gloss…

“For the perfect application of Artistic Colour Gloss, ensure cuticle work is performed thoroughly, leaving no non-living tissue on the nail plate. Remove surface shine and file the free edge using the 180-grit side of the Effect buffer and the 240-grit Exact file. Ensure that you remove all dust and wipe over with ACG Gel Surface Cleanser, then apply pH Prep.

“Artistic Colour Gloss base coat should be applied in a thin layer. Take as much product off the brush as possible and lightly scrub over the nail with the brush before capping the free edge. Cure for 5-10 seconds only (depending on which of the Artistic Nail Design LED lamps you are using) then dry brush with a clean gel brush to help prevent shrinkage when you apply the gel polish.

“The chosen Artistic Colour Gloss shade should be applied in two thin coats, ensuring that the free edge is capped on each coat and cured for 30 seconds. Apply Glossing Top Coat to finish, making sure that it covers the colour completely at the cuticle and sidewalls, and then cap the free edge. Cure for 30 seconds before removing the inhibition layer with a nail wipe and Artistic Colour Gloss Nail Surface Cleanser. Finish with the Artistic Colour Gloss Revive Cuticle Oil, massaging into the cuticle and surrounding skin.”
