Ellie Toms’ part-time job at nail brand, Lecenté, inspired her career change to become a nail technician. Here’s her story…
The now tech ‘fell in love’ with the brand’s products, so much so that it inspired her to become a nail tech so she was able to use them.
The natural nail specialist has made her dream a reality, with her Kent-based salon, The Nail Hive, using mostly Lecenté products in its services: deluxe manicures and pedicures, gel and fibre/builder gel nails. “This is my go-to brand as I know what goes into the products and how they are made, as I used to make them whilst working there.” She also notes her most popular treatment: Lecenté Fusion Builder Gel.
She adds, “I also wanted to create a space that people can come and get their nail treatments without the anxiety of going into a busy salon.
“I began training in November 2022, starting off with my Nail Knowledge Diploma then qualified in April 2023 with Lecenté as a natural nail specialist,” shares the tech.
She explains: “My salon is unique because it’s in a beautiful setting that my clients can look out on and relax with no one else around. I offer a personal unique touch, which all my clients say they love the most as they feel comfortable and at ease.”
Adorned in white and gold, the salon creates a ‘relaxing spa-like environment’, offering a serene experience. Ellie says, “I want people to feel like they can be themselves and get the most out of their appointments.”
Looking forward, Ellie says, “I would love to build my clientele so I can be a full-time nail tech.”
