With the autumn/winter season nearing, dabble with new design ideas and get your hands on new collections to create fashion-forward nail results.
Rachel Horrocks, nail tech and content marketing manager for Sweet Squared, has embraced autumn by getting creative with brush strokes, colours and trends, Here, she reveals how to create a design using all six shades from CND™’s AW18 collection; Wild Earth.
You will need:
- CND Vinylux™ shades Element, Dreamcatcher, Blue Moon, Spear, Arrowhead and Brimstone
- CND Vinylux™ Weekly Top Coat
- Lecenté S2 Brush
Step 1: PEP the nail and apply two coats of CND Vinylux™ in Brimstone. Remember, there’s no need for a base coat with Vinylux™ Weekly Polish!
Step 2: Lightly load your detailer brush with Vinylux™ in creamy purple shade Dreamcatcher and apply to the nail randomly using vertical strokes.
Step 3: Repeat step 2 with each colour in the Wild Earth collection – thoroughly cleaning your brush in between strokes. For the best effect, take care to ensure the strokes of colour aren’t touching as you build your design across the nail.
TOP TIP: Keep all of your strokes vertical for consistency, but don’t worry about size and shape of your little patches of colour – the point of this design is to create a beautifully random print!
Step 4: When dry, complete the look with CND Vinylux™ Weekly Top Coat for a glossy and protected finish.
