Countryside manicures: Explore the Cambridgeshire salon offering nail treatments to remote clients

Nail tech, Leia Sarah of Murrow-based salon, Leia Sarah Nail Technician, has opened the doors to her beauty space, which offers nail services to clients seeking a calm environment outside of a city.

Having previously rented a chair in a local salon, the tech built a good client base, spurring her decision to open a home-based beauty room in the rural village of Murrow.

“Opening my salon here has allowed people who are unable to travel into town to get their nails done. I get a lot of new clients who say this, as well as my regulars,” says the tech.

Leia qualified as a nail technician in 2016 and offers acrylic extensions, gel polish manicures, BIAB™, pedicures and milk bath pedicures. “My most popular service is L&P acrylic extensions, and I love to do nail art!”

As for her ‘trusty acrylic’, she says, “I have always used the Attraction system from NSI, as it suits the needs of my acrylic clients and offers a great finish.”

For BIAB™ manicures, she notes her favourite brand as The GelBottle Inc, while her favourite gel polish line is Artistic Nail Design Artistic Colour Glosses.

The salonboasts a white, gold and navy theme: “I’ve always like the classy look of these colours. I’m obsessed with my nail sign on the wall, which has had so many compliments. I also love my salon desk and matching pedi chair.”

“My main goal is for people to feel welcome and comfortable, as I’ve always loved a warm welcome when I’ve been to salons. It’s a private, cosy room with a bright, clean feel. I also like to have a diffuser on with a lemongrass scent, for a spa-like vibe,” she adds.

She says, “I also make sure to keep up with the latest nail trends all thanks to Scratch Magazine!”

Going forward, Leia says, “I want to remain as busy as I am with my clientele, and even enter some more nail competitions”.
