“I started doing Molly-Mae’s nails after the first lockdown, when my husband, who’s a builder, was working on her manager, Francesca Britton’s house,” shares Corrine. “At the time, both Fran and Molly were unable to get their nails done because salons were closed. He mentioned that I was a nail tech and Fran came to see me as soon as we were allowed to work again.
“She absolutely loved her nails, then asked if I could do Molly’s as well. I didn’t believe it would go ahead because it felt too good to be true, but when it did, it was such a ‘pinch me’ moment – it felt so surreal,” reminisces Corrine.
And the duo have been returning ever since, notes the tech: “Molly and Fran have become close clients and friends, and I’m so grateful for the support they’ve given me. They are both amazing people with the biggest hearts.”

When asked if working with Molly has opened up other opportunities for the pro, she says: “It’s been like a domino effect. I started gaining more high-profile clients, which has led to even more exciting opportunities. I’ve been approached by several brands for collaborations, and not just brands in the nail industry!
“I’ve also worked closely with Glossify, which has given me amazing experiences like attending Fashion Week and doing manicures at Vogue,” says Corrine. “It’s incredible how being a nail tech has led to such unique and fun opportunities that I never expected!”

Though, Corrine shares the pressures of celebrity clients, saying: “Working with high-profile clients is both exciting and rewarding, but also comes with responsibility and a level of trust.
“It’s not just about nails; it’s about creating an experience for them in the comfort of their own home. It’s important to me that I treat every client with the same level of care and respect, regardless of their profile – and maintain a professional yet personal connection. It’s an amazing feeling knowing that my work is appreciated by such incredible people!”

Corrine adds: “When working with high-profile clients, it’s important to create an environment where they feel comfortable and confident in your work. Networking is crucial to put yourself out there, connect with others in the industry and be introduced to opportunities.” She notes her most important tip: “Stay passionate about what you do, because that energy will shine through in your work.”
Corrine’s nail journey
So, how did Corrine get to this point in her career? She shares her humble beginnings: “My passion for nails started at a young age – I was completely obsessed . In 2003, I finally got the chance to turn my dream into a reality by training with NSI.” After becoming a mum, the tech began offering mobile services in 2006 and opened her first salon in 2007.
Corrine ran her salon for 13 years, before closing in 2021 to focus on becoming a nail educator and opening her academy: Nail It. “I have always loved sharing my tips and techniques with staff members. So, I decided to dedicate my time to training to become an educator, writing manuals and launching my own online store, where fellow nail techs can purchase Nail It branded E-files and tools. Four years later, my business is very successful, and I now offer both in-person and online courses.”

She adds: “I’m also excited to keep collaborating with brands and taking on new creative projects. There’s always room for growth in this industry, and I’m eager to be a part of that.”
