Michelle Brookes Tenerife Brillbird 2

Michelle Brookes, Brillbird educator, reveals the tales from the brand’s trip to Tenerife for educator training…

Day 2

The first day of training was led by Marina Bendiuk, who covered Fantasy nail design using gel. Marina started the day by demonstrating how to sculpt an extremely long stiletto nail using gel.  Marina speaks amazing English but we were also lucky to have Brillbird educator, Neringa Alsauskiene, on hand to translate certain words and terminology.

We created a variety of different extreme advanced Fantasy shapes. I’ve never tried this technique before and kept it simple with a pink swirly design. I must be in the summer sprit as never choose pink!

We were all so proud of our creations that we had to get the perfect photo to show them off, which saw Sarah Evans (Manchester educator) dipping her nail into a water feature to get hers!

The evening saw us meet up with the Spanish team and go to a local Cuban restaurant. Chat and drinks flowed and we even managed a bit of salsa dancing! Luckily I knew a few moves as my friend taught me years ago, and fellow educator, Desiree, taught the Spanish team a few Scottish dances.

Look out for the next instalment on the Scratch blog!
