Yesterday I was invited to attend an exciting launch event for a new hair supplement called Grow by Hair Gain, harnessing the power of the pea shoot to give dramatic hair growth results.

Boasting a rate of 78% hair growth in just one month of use, the supplement was designed specifically for women. Consumers are advised to take two capsules daily to help rebalance disruptions within the hair growth cycle, with the formula containing the exclusive AnaGain ingredient, derived from the organic pea shoot, along with zinc and biotin.

Introducing press, bloggers and industry gurus to the product, the brand hosted a presentation and sit down breakfast at the Vivi Restaurant in London, just a hop, skip and a jump from Tottenham Court Road tube station. The perfect venue, the space reflected the stylish and feminine packaging and design of the Hair Gain brand.

The morning began with an informative and interesting presentation given by nutritionist Moyra Cosgrove, specialist natural trichologist, Cheryl Mackie, and Hair Gain founder, Lucy Palmer. Lucy kicked off the talk by voicing her passion for the brand and how it started: she explained that, after suffering postpartum hair loss, there were no hair growth supplements on the market that appealed to women. Identifying this gap, Lucy decided to create a supplement that felt like a normal beauty product and was a pleasure to take daily.

“Not long after having my first baby I noticed I was losing a lot of hair and had noticeable thinner patches,” explained Lucy. “It really knocked my confidence at a critical time when I should be just enjoying the new phase in my life.

“Having worked in the pharmaceutical industry for many years, I couldn’t believe the difference using AnaGain made to overcoming this issue. I realised there was a real need for this product in the market and I’ve not been alone in seeing these amazing benefits. Since the launch we’ve seen the most incredible stories and changes to people’s hair growth. We are really excited by its potential.”

Following this, Moyra talked the audience through the ingredients and nutritional composition of the Grow by Hair Gain supplements in detail, as well as explaining the hair growth cycle. Finally, it was Cheryl’s time to talk about the product, sharing stories of women taking the supplement after coming to her Harley Street clinic after suffering from hair loss. Cheryl highlighted the emotional trauma this can inflict on women and how the supplement is slowly but surely ridding them of that burden. A number of case studies were shared with the room, showing the progress of real women with real hair loss. The women all saw a significant increase in hair that was fuller and thicker after taking Grow by Hair Gain for only a matter of months. Once the audience asked their questions and probed the experts, guests moved to a seated area for an indulgent breakfast, with all dishes fittingly garnished with pea shoots.

Throughout the morning, it was stressed that hair loss is something that effects a lot of women – with 8 million women in the UK suffering from it at some point in their lives, Lucy revealed. One of the biggest contributors to this is postpartum alopecia, but reasons also include stress, anxiety, hormonal changes including the menopause, over-styling and nutrition deficiency.

Explaining why Grow by Hair Gain is ideal for salons to retail, Lucy emphasised the trust that clients have with their nail techs and therapists. “Women talk very freely in a salon environment, a lot of women tell their therapists more than what they would even tell their best friend,” said Lucy. “Women trust their therapists enough to talk to them about their hair loss, and therapists can help them feel confident and beautiful by recommending and retailing Hair Gain.”
