Behind the scenes: Salon System brand photoshoot

On the 11 July, myself and Scratch‘s Sophie hotfooted to Cherryduck Studios in London, just a stone’s throw from Tower Bridge, to go behind the scenes on an exciting Salon System brand photoshoot. Capturing images and videos with models and products to align with the new Salon System brand image and website, the shoot took place across two days.
On the first day, for which myself and Sophie were present, the photoshoot saw a focus on Salon System’s GELLUX gel polish; the following day saw time set aside for media focusing on Salon System’s other brands including Marvelash, Marvelbrow and Just Wax.
When I arrived at the shoot, the team were shooting seasonal nail looks, with designs created by Salon System GELLUX techspert, Julie-Anne Lariviere, using the gel polish’s hero shades. I couldn’t help but take a look at the clothing rails, boasting with an array of bold, eye-catching pieces to compliment and show off the models’ nails. After taking a look at the clothing, I swayed over to the table full of glowing accessories. Earrings, bracelets, necklaces and rings were laid out beautifully for the models, with the stylist carefully choosing from the glamorous selection for the perfect combination of nail designs, clothing and jewels to make the perfect shot.
Each model’s hair, make-up and nails were all beautifully styled and eye-catching: making for stunning images that showed off each perfectly executed nail design (which was giving me major nail envy!). Throughout the day, it became evermore apparent how organised and talented each member of the team was within their specific roles: from the photographer to the hair and make-up stylists, all were working together in harmony to ensure every image was perfect.
