Nail technician, Sadie Hynes, launched her brand, NIBOVI, in February 2024, specialising in high-quality E-file bits, accessories, tools and ABT-accredited education.

Having been in the beauty industry for nearly 15 years as a nail tech, salon owner & educator, Hynes is well equipped with expert knowledge across all dimensions of the nail industry, so the birth of her own beauty company came as no surprise.

Her impressive career started at beauty college, which she attended for two years, before jumping straight into self-employment and eventually co-owning a large salon. In 2019, she completed her Level 3 Award in Education & Teaching.

After years of hand filing, Hynes began to suffer with repetitive strain, so decided to train in E-file use to minimise tension in her upper body. However, what was meant to be a solution, posed its own challenges.

Hynes grew frustrated at the premature blunting, unnecessarily bulky structures and inaccessibility issues of E-file bits she was using: a nuisance turned blessing, as it sparked her lightbulb moment.

Having detected a gap in the market, she decided to take her career in a different direction and build the foundations of NIBOVI.

When asked how she came up with the name, she responded: “NIBOVI combines the names of three very important people in my life: my son, my husband and my late dog Vinny. I wanted a name that was completely unique and powerful.”

NIBOVI prides itself on producing E-file bits that ‘work hard for the tech’, in the following ways:

• The curated range of bits support every part of the nail service, including debulking, refinement, cuticle prep and exfoliation.
• The diamond bits have a ‘cooling groove’ technology to aid a comfortable experience.
• The Titanium Nitride gold coating prolongs the lifespan of the bits.
• The protective cases with ventilation holes prevent premature rusting after disinfection.

Creating high-quality, long-lasting bits was at the forefront of Sadie’s business venture aims. She continues: “All of our tungsten carbide bits are coated in Titanium Nitride (TiN), which gives them an incredible gold finish while prolonging the life of the bit and offering lower vibration, higher corrosion resistance and higher heat resistance.”

The brand is committed to the mantra: ‘bringing high-quality but uncomplicated tools’ to the industry, alongside offering ABT-accredited E-file courses for hands-on, confidence-boosting experience.

NIBOVI has welcomed three impressive brand ambassadors: Hannah Beth (@studiobyhannahbeth), Alex Philamond (@put.it.in.nudetral) and Olivia Marie (@novalee_nails), who show the products in action to their thousands of social media followers.

Looking forward, Hynes shares: “My goal for the brand is to continue building on its incredible community. NIBOVI will also be expanding education across the UK, as I have some major ideas and plans, which I am so excited about!

“E-file work truly is an artform. My favourite thing about it is the constant evolution of techniques that make our job more efficient and elevate the standard of what we can produce.”
