Back to Work: Nail & beauty business checklist
By Scratch Staff | 12 July 2020 | Expert Advice, Feature
Scratch gathers guidelines from across the industry for what should be considered for when you & your clients set foot back into your business…
Consider ticking off these points well advanced to ensure a smoother opening process…
- Decide what treatments you will offer and how you will manage any risks associated. Ask staff members whether they are comfortable performing such treatments and make it clear what is suspended/on offer to your clients via your marketing and information points.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments of your workplace in line with industry guidelines. Share these with any staff members so they are aware of them and can answer any questions clients may have.
- Communicate with your clients about the plans you have in place to protect them.
- Consider how you will manage bookings and waiting lists.
- Assess your overheads, as you may need to raise your treatment prices due to a reduction in the number of clients you are able to service per day, as well as the increased costs of additional PPE.
- Make a list of all the cleaning, hygiene and disposable products you will need, such as disinfectants, sanitisers, hand washing products, clothes washing products for uniforms and waste storage.
