Are you using social media effectively to attract potential bridal clients? Helena Linsky, co-director of salon chain, Q61, shares her top tips…

“When it comes to attracting the attention of new bridal clients, social media is a very powerful tool,” states Helena Linsky.

“Remember that brides-to-be often rely heavily on social media for inspiration, so use hashtags effectively to attract new bridal followers. Use your social media platforms to show off the brides you’ve worked with. Post before and after photos and tag your brides – with their permission – to show off your hard work.”

With the wedding industry booming, having contacts in your local area could be beneficial. Make yourself known via social media – and in person – to wedding dress shops, photographers, florists and events companies around you. Approach them about exchanging marketing material and also consider attend local networking events to meet other business owners face-to-face.

“Be sure to choose make-up artists, hairdressers, florists, wedding dress designers and photographers that have a solid reputation and that have a similar branding, style and brand ethos to yours,” agrees Helena. “A bride is more likely to choose service providers with a similar style and creative outlook.”
