Is your social media not growing as quickly as you’d like? Rachel Horrocks, Sweet Squared content marketing manager, shares her top tips…

  1. Post quality content – Showcase your work and what clients can expect from your service. Post transformational before and after shots,
  2. Include pictures of your products – This shows quality by association and also gives them ideas ahead of their appointment which products they may want.
  3. Be the expert – Share your pre and post-care tips and advice, as this establishes you as the expert and ensures your clients get the best wear out of their treatment, as well as want to come back to you.
  4. Post regularly – I recommend you post once or twice a day to hit the mark, without being too spammy.  Instagram and Facebook’s organic reach algorithm values freshness of content and also genuine engagement with your follower base.
  5. Engage with your audience Facebook views engagements as a way of identifying which posts are of interest to Facebook users and, therefore, how likely they are to put your post in the newsfeed. It’s all about extending your organic reach so your target audience sees your posts, without the need to spend on paid ads. It isn’t just about the algorithms of Facebook that should drive you to increase your engagement; an engaged audience become brand fans and are more likely to recommend your services to others.
  6. Create original content – The best way to attract people to your posts is to create content that hasn’t been seen before. This content should add value to your target audience and make them want to interact with it.
  7. Post shareable content – Post content that people want to share. If you share some awesome nail art, people will be inclined to share this, and you may see prospective new customers engaging with that content and booking your services.
  8. Time of post – The best way to get your posts seen, and therefore engaged with, is to post at the time your audience is online. Luckily for us, we can find data-driven times within Facebook Head to the Insights section of your profiles, to see when your followers are most active.
