Oceania Live Nail Comps Huge Success

Winners Announced from live Nail Comps Hosted by Perth Hair & Beauty Expo

The Oceania Nail Championships was held at Ascot Racecourse in Perth, Australia on Sunday 20 September 2020 at the Perth Hair & Beauty Expo

Organised by Teresa Warman, the competition hosted 23 competitors in three divisions across 10 categories.

“We held a really successful event, which we operated Covid-friendly,” states organiser Teresa Warman. “Before we arrived we had to send the local council a plan of the competition arena to show numbers and spacing of the nail desks. We laid plastic flooring and hired a handwash basin, which was placed next to the arena. We also put hand sanitiser everywhere. The expo organiser also had ‘sanitiser fairies’ wandering the expo floor to encourage visitors to sanitise regularly. We had an attendee maximum, so we were click-counting people as they arrived and gave the names of all competitors, models and judges to the council for trace purposes.

“Another nice touch was to see sponsor Emendee there as expected, but on this occasion remotely on a TV screen on their stand, which was a fun twist. So, all things considered it was a great event to host after this year of uncertainty.”
